The Nodes, They Are A-Changin’

The Lunar, or Moon, Nodes changed signs yesterday. It’s a pretty big shift and will influence everyone on the planet for the next 18 months. The North Node moved into Aries and the South Node moved to Libra. Let’s break down what that means for all of us…

The North Node represents our overall Purpose on the planet. The South Node represents our past. For those who ascribe to reincarnation, the South Node represents past lives, and the North Node represents how to transform what we didn’t transform yet.

South Node Libra is dealing with things like hiding out in partnerships, wanting the ‘pat on the back’ for its efforts, and being the peacekeeper. Those things are not bad things and they can get in the way of stepping up as a leader, taking risks, and standing up for our beliefs, which is what Aries North Node wants us to do for the next 18 months. Those Aries traits can be taken to the extreme also, especially when executed in an Aries way!

The key here is to transform the traits with maturity, attention to the dynamics of a situation, and involving others in the process…the stronger levels of Libra with the passion of Aries.

You see, Libra energy is a people-pleaser, can be indecisive, it’s all about the We, sacrificing the Me. Aries energy is all about the Me, tends to want to act alone so it can keep its spontaneity so the We sometimes gets left behind. OK, a lot of the time. The We gets left behind a lot of the time.

These traits can exist wherever you have Libra or Aries energy, not just if your sun is in Libra or Aries. This shift in the Moon Nodes is happening to everyone and also happening in certain areas of every individual’s life depending on where Aries and Libra show up in your birth chart.

For instance, if Aries falls in a person’s first house of Self, the Libra energy is most likely going to be in that person’s 7th house of long-term relationships, business or personal. This change in nodes is the Creator asking this person to stand up and express themselves more as an individual in their long-term relationships. Take risks when it comes to expressing themselves, even in their physical appearance. If you’ve been wanting a new look, go for it! Please be careful about being more physically adventurous as Aries energy is prone to head injuries. I am not suggesting curbing your enthusiasm, please wear a helmet! And, in peaceful states, everyone is at peace, including you. Sometimes the apple cart does need to be upset in a compassionate, proactive, productive way. A lot of times to keep the peace, feelings and expression get stuffed which just leads to bigger explosions later on. Find a compassionate, proactive, productive way to express yourself rather than things coming out in anger and frustration. Or not coming out at all because you think things will not be peaceful. What if you are preventing true peace because you are not expressing yourself?

So, now, are you curious as to where in your life the emphasis is with this heavenly shift? If you are, I can help you find out. Here is the link for an astrology reading…https://guidance.kabbalah.com/teachers/michal-donna

A Path to Wellness

My last blog about Astrology being a connection between us and the Creator. In that connection is also the blueprint for our path to wellness.

Part of it is a centuries old practice that has to do with the elements and seasons represented in your birth chart. It shows what Temperaments or Humors that might be present in your body and the way to treat them or better yet, handle potential issues before they present themselves.

The other part is the consciousness associated with our wellness. The body reflects what is going on in our mindset. We live in a world of Cause and Effect. And in Kabbalistic Astrology, there is nothing in this world of ours that is the Cause of anything, and that includes astrology. We are not victims of our stars. The stars impel, they do not compel. They inspire, not require!

The Kabbalah Centre, Louise Hay, Deepak Chopra, to name only a few, have been talking about the Body, Mind, Spirit connection for a very long time and they continue to talk about it. This dynamic is one of the big reasons that brought me to study and practice Kabbalah. and to further lean into Kabbalistic Astrology. Allow me to tell you my story…

I have had my share of physical and dis-ease challenges (Jupiter in my 6th house). And they haven’t always made sense to me or the medical world, traditional or alternative (Uranus in my 6th house). Starting from the womb and going forward, I dealt with a gut imbalance that showed up as athlete’s foot, ‘dandruff’, eczema, impetigo, yeast infections (at 12 years old), severe intestinal discomforts of all sorts., and severe myopia. That was just to age 18. And then the female reproductive ailments from a drug called DES that my mother took in the 50s when she was threatening to miscarry. (Think Thalidomide, except in the States). And dozens of other things that made no sense to the traditional medical world, to this day.

I did everything everyone asked me to do, both on the traditional side and the alternative side. Both promising health, vitality, peace, and bliss. None of it happened.

I started to think, ‘I am not getting the full picture here.’ ‘There are pieces of this puzzle that are missing for me.’ ‘There are more rocks to look under.’

That’s when the ‘rocks’ started showing up.

The first big “AHA!” was when I ‘accidentally’ saw a Deepak Chopra PBS special called Body, Mind, & Soul in which he talks about the genetics of mankind being the thoughts and beliefs we are handed down through our generations and families as being the real heredity, rather than the genetics of the body.

Then came others like Louise Hay with You Can Heal Your Body, Inna Segal with The Secret Language of Your Body: The Essential Guide to Health and Wellness, and Karol K. Truman with Feelings all discuss our emotional body and its connection to our physical bodies.

And then a big piece came with the teachings and practice of Kabbalah. I always thought and got feedback that I was the most responsible and most accountable person I knew. Until I came to Kabbalah and learned what true responsibility was. I came to the conclusion that this was the doorway to the missing puzzle pieces for me. It was time for the next level of responsibility.

It is an overwhelming proposition to think about us being totally responsible for our own health. And one of the ways we can get a road map is through the clues in our astrology chart. I would love to help you explore your health road map. Book a Natal Chart on the website and specify on the intake form ‘Health Road Map’. Book a Reading

Astrology…A Connection to the Creator

In Kabbalistic Astrology the story goes that our soul knows what we have accomplished and what we have left to manifest. And before our soul agrees to another earthly turn, there is a meeting with the Creator and our Guardian Angel where we choose our parents, place of birth, family group, all the circumstances of our lives in order to achieve the purpose we agree to manifest this time around. We know exactly what it is we need to do and then right before we are to make our appearance in another body, our Guardian Angel reaches over, places a forefinger on our lips underneath our nose and says, ‘sshhh’. Our human brain forgets everything, and the journey called life is spent remembering and working our way back to the Creator. This action is also responsible for the indentation above our upper lip!

The second we are born produces a map, a contract, if you will, of the above-mentioned agreement. It is called a Natal Chart. It contains so much information. Information on what talents and challenges we are likely to have in 12 major areas of our life. What our purpose in this life is. What we were probably like in our past life and how that affects us in this life. It reflects the physical hurdles we may have the opportunity to work through. And everyone’s map is different.

Would it be beneficial to have an idea of what that agreement was as you move through this life, rather than stumble around half-blind and asking yourself, ‘why is this happening to me?’

I would like to point out that astrology does not predict anything. We have free will. It is why one person who is say, a Taurus, will behave in a different way than someone else who is also a Taurus. It is why twins who are born minutes apart and should have nearly identical birth charts, whether they are identical or fraternal twins, behave differently under similar circumstances. Free will, and they have different souls.

Astrology is a man-made construct that has been misused throughout history, just like almost everything that contains great power. The man credited with being the first astrologer was Abraham the Patriarch. He was a contributing author to Chapter 5 of the Book of Formation or Sefer Yetzirah.

And just because an energy shows up in our stars does not mean it happens. Even Abraham saw in his stars that he was not destined to have children. Because of his connection with the Creator and the spiritual work he did, he desired, and had a child. That’s really the whole point to astrology. We are not meant to be victims or be compelled by the starts. We are meant to rise above their influence. The stars do not compel, they impel.

And I for one, would like to have as many oars in the water rowing me to my destiny and purpose as I can. The alternative is being tossed about in the Sea of Life without oars in the water or a rudder on the ship. I get seasick really easily!

The Creator has given us a blueprint. Why not use it?

Happy New Year!

Sagittarius…the Month of Miracles

Sagittarius is indeed the month of miracles, for several reasons. It is ruled by the planet Jupiter which gives the energy of abundance, spirituality, generosity, sharing, and expansion. It is not an accident that the most giving rituals of the year occur in this time of year! When people’s energy is in this mode of uplifting others, there is more chance of miracles happening.

Most pray or wish for miracles that are outcome oriented. Please, have this situation turn out this way. Or, please bring me a miracle when it comes to finding more prosperity, my soul mate, or this job I just applied for. A lot of things or changes that we feel will make us feel better, take us out of the pain we are feeling. This comes from the thought that someone or something outside of myself will make me happier. It is sometimes called short-term gratification.

The real miracles come from seeking long-term gratification. Don’t get me wrong. All of those things that I mentioned in the above paragraph are good things…food on the table, a roof over your head, a life partner, or a job that makes us feel purposeful and useful. Long-term gratification comes from all those things when they are not the be-all and end-all of our desire. Do we want the more prosperity because we think it will give us the things we don’t have now…respect, admiration, acceptance, a cooler lifestyle. Do we want a soul mate because we are lonely and that person we are looking for can fill that empty space inside? Do we want the new job for the money it will bring even if it’s not fulfilling or in line with our purpose?

These are the places people get lost. They chase the right things for reasons that are short-term. They think, ‘when this happens, then I’ll be happy.’

Miracles occur when we are happy first. When we connect to our soul, which is already happy, and be happy for no reason. This is the season to do that. We get supported in this month of Sagittarius to choose to be happy for no reason, even with the chaos around us. We affect that chaos by choosing to be happy, instead of the chaos affecting us.

The energy of Jupiter expands whatever energy is present. Choose for your energy to be happy. Use the spiritual energy of the month to connect with your Divine energy and ask for what is your gift in this situation. Shift your ‘why’ from the mindset of getting things and situations to work out your way, to what is going to bring joy and Light in the long run, for me and everyone else? That is your gift to the world! That is how you create miracles.

We all have Sagittarius energy. Mine is on the cusp of my 11th house, the house of social groups, collaborating with others, friends. Where is yours? I can help you find out! Schedule a reading by clicking here. Let’s make miracles happen all year long!

See you soon! And Happy Miracle Month!

We Deserve Everything, and…

Are Entitled to Nothing

Entitlement. It’s a tough subject. We’ve all heard the term flung about in regular conversation, in heated conversation, in conversations about the generations. What I have observed is…it’s everywhere, absolutely everywhere. Doesn’t matter what your astrology is, what your spiritual path is. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you are, what you came from, we all experience it at some level.

So what? If everybody does it, what’s the big deal?

The big deal is that if a person is busy being entitled, it is hard to practice gratitude and appreciation.

Having stated above that it doesn’t matter what your astrology is, are some zodiac energies more prone to entitlement than others? You betcha! Does it guarantee they will behave in an entitled way? No. As with all astrological influences, the way we express ourselves is unique and personal to us.

I have been on many major journeys over the past couple of years. I have been on the one with all of humanity, covid. I have moved to a part of the country I’ve never lived in with no family around after 6 and one-half decades in the Deep South and surrounded by family. I am on a health journey to retrain my immune system on a cellular level. And have been, for 14 months now, building a house in the middle of this economy and supply chain situation on something other than flat land!

Some personal entitlement ahas!…

Health Journey…I am in the process of a deep cleanse. Like cellular level. Retraining my immune system. I was born with a wonky immune system and it’s time I be the boss of it rather than it be the boss of me. As some of you who have been on similar journeys, no matter how short or long, quick or deep, detox is not fun. And, one day I was feeling particularly puny. I was asking myself, ‘why does this have to be so hard?’ ‘why do I feel awful?’

Then it hit me. The real question was why did I feel like I had a right to feel good?’ Whoa. Wait a minute now. I realized in that moment that I was going along thinking that I was supposed to feel good, as long as I wasn’t sick-sick, every day. Now I know everyone has ‘good’ days and ‘bad’ days, physically and mentally. And it was a little unsettling to me to uncover this thought pattern…

Don’t get me wrong. Do I deserve to feel good every day? Yes. Do I desire to feel good every day? Yes. Am I entitled to feel good every day? No. Entitled generally cancels out all the deserving and desiring you can muster.

So, I owned it, the entitlement. And looked for other places in my life where I was practicing entitlement under the guise of what I thought ‘should’ be happening. And to my horror and amazement I found it EVERYWHERE!

It was in the thoughts I was having about being physically away from my family. It was in the thoughts about it taking so long for my house to be built. I know these decisions, to be away from family, to build a house in this craziness, are mine, all mine. And I still noticed I was having entitled thoughts about how often and how my family should communicate with me. And even in the craziness, 14 months is a long time and it shouldn’t take this long to build a house.

So, I owned it, the entitlement. And I appreciated my new connections in my new place that were helping me on my health quest and just got grateful for the air I breathe and that I get to breathe it. When I discovered and owned my entitlement, I got a wonderful surprise visit from my family. And when I took the time to remind myself and focus on all the blessings that have been involved with the move and the house construction, and that it’s all Divine Timing, not my timing, the stress and push about the house fell away.

I know there are people out there who needed to read these words. I humbly and sincerely wish that they brought you clarity and joy, even if it’s only that you are not alone in your journey.

So, my question for you is, ‘Where are you letting entitlement get in the way of your blessings?’

I would love to help you explore those areas of your life with a reading. Book a session here. I look forward to seeing you!

Humbly and Respectfully,

Michal Donna

Love Thy Neighbor…

Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself…We have all heard of this advice, right? And we try our best to do it, right?

As I’ve gone through the decades of my life, I’ve asked many questions of myself about this statement. Does it mean ‘turn the other cheek’, even if ‘my neighbor’ is being rude? Does it mean ‘love thy neighbor’ only when they are behaving the way I think is acceptable? After all, we don’t want to encourage bad behavior by being nice, even though ‘my neighbor’ is misbehaving. It’s hard to love, even on good days and especially when we don’t feel like it because we can hardly stand ourselves today!

And that for me was the answer. Sure, we can ‘fake it ’til you make it’. You know, pretend until the real thing comes in. That will work for a while. People will eventually feel it, though.

I believe the prerequisite for loving thy neighbor is loving yourself.

I’m not talking about self-care. Although a lot of us could use self-care, i.e., alone time, meditation to be in touch with our Higher Power, spa day, mani/pedi. Self-care is a part of loving yourself. And I’ve seen a lot of people through my life who have practiced regular self-care who did not love themselves. Welcome to the human race! If it were easy, everyone would be doing it!

Real love for yourself starts with talking to yourself the same way you would talk to someone you are encouraging to succeed. Let’s stop abusing ourselves! Real love for yourself looks like you deciding how you feel, instead of allowing what others say and do to determine how you feel.

Venus, the planet of love is in Virgo right now. That is a tough place for Venus to be when you want to start loving yourself because Virgo energy can be nit-picky and perfectionistic. It sees all the imperfections. It is its strength and its challenge. Virgo is also healing energy. So, we can see all the things we want to change in preparation for Venus moving into Libra on September 30 when we can be aware of not judging ourselves and lock into all the beauty and balance in the world. Libra loves peace and beauty and is at home in Libra.

Sometimes I think we attempt to treat everyone else better than we treat ourselves even though we cannot give what we don’t have.

Love Thyself so you can Love Thy Neighbor.

With Much Love To Me and To You!

Yes, Mercury is Retrograde…you may have heard!

Mercury going retrograde is one of astrologers’ favorite things to broadcast! It seems that Mercury retrograde season has the reputation as being a hindrance rather than an opportunity!

I am hereby making good on my claim from my April panel (about the last time Mercury was retrograde) to become Mercury Retrograde’s new PR Manager. It gets a bad rap! Even if it is doing something TO us (which it isn’t), we need to get our adulting pants on and work with it! Would you go outside in a tornado if you didn’t want to get blown away? I hope the answer to that is NO!

First, retrograde is a term applied to a celestial body that APPEARS to be moving in a backward motion or in reverse. It is actually not going backwards; it just appears to be moving backwards. Retrograde season is for slowing down and reflecting and making sure we are into the details of what we do, especially our communication, since that is the area of life that Mercury rules…thinking and communication.

Mercury is in Libra now. Libra is an Air sign, so Mercury likes it there. We communicate through air. Air is what allows man to communicate to the way it does…air rushing from our lungs over our vocal cords, through our mouths, over our teeth and lips to form what we call words. Mercury is in the zodiac sign of Adam, the first man. So…

We can use words now to go back to the ‘beginning’ of a situation and start the healing process. Go back and correct the places in our lives where maybe we used our words negatively, whether we meant to or not. They were our words. We would do well to take responsibility for them. Even if we only imagine the situation going differently, different words being spoken…there is healing.

We have until October 2 to take advantage of the gift of Mercury Retrograde! Mercury will go retrograde again on December 28 this year in Saggitarius. Saggitarius energy is very expansive and far-reaching and tends to be rather direct. It acts like there is no filter between the brain and the speech. So, now is the time to practice paying attention to how we communicate while Mercury is in tactful, diplomatic, people pleasing energy. Sagittarius’ nature is none of that! Its energy can also be helpful. Thing is not everyone appreciates what Saggitarius energy thinks is helpful!

Until then, Happy Practicing! and may all your i’s be crossed and your t’s be dotted! Wait a minute, is that right? Ohhh, you know what I mean!

All the Best, with Love and Care,

Michal Donna

Our Christmas Story 2021

This past Tuesday my husband and I went to our property in the country to do some maintenance on a couple of our cameras. The bottom of the access road to the property had washed out with all the recent rain so we parked halfway down and hiked in. We did our chores, hiking and exploring along the way, and then headed back up the access road to the jeep. As our vehicle came into view, I heard my husband say, ‘there is a box on the hood of the jeep.’ Upon further inspection, we discovered it was a box addressed to a neighbor across the meadow.

Now, I need to do some ‘splainin’. Our property is in a very rural area. There are some roads on maps apps that have been planned and not executed. If a person is not familiar with the area comes in to deliver stuff, it could be a nightmare!

My story is that the delivery driver, brought in because of the work force shortage and the crush of the holiday delivery push, was not familiar with the neighborhood and was trying to get to the neighbor’s address via a road that did not exist yet. And our jeep was blocking the way to him finding out. So, they just left the package on our jeep and continued in their monumental task of delivery.

We decided to be a good neighbor and deliver the misplaced package, then go get lunch. We were hungry from all that hiking.

When we turned the jeep around and headed back up the access road to the highway, we noticed a strange object blocking our way. It was a parcel carrier. I hopped out of the vehicle and investigated. There were three more packages in there. Obviously, the parcel carrier had fallen off the truck as the driver made their way up the rocky unpaved road.

We looked at each other and asked, what do we do with this situation? We decided to call the delivery company and report our findings. The customer service rep informed us, after we had to explain the situation a couple of times, that since the packages were not our orders, they had no way pf processing our call and we could do anything we wanted with the packages. We could keep them. We could donate them. We could throw them away if we wanted to. The people who ordered the packages would report them not delivered and the order would be sent out again. OK.

So, once we determined that we would not be prosecuted for theft, we decided to play Santa for an afternoon and deliver the packages to our townsmen and women, and off we went!

At our first stop, we approached a building where the there was a screen door with the front door open. I knocked and peeked in to see a woman rocking a sleeping baby who was motioning to me, a complete stranger, to enter her house. Once inside, I asked her if she was the person whose name was on the package and she said yes. I continued with, ‘you’re never going to believe this….’ and proceeded to tell our story. About half-way through the exchange, her husband came in with a quizzical look on his face and my husband filled him in. Turns out, the couple had lived for three years in the place we had just moved from. Coincidence? I think not! They very kindly invited us to visit a while more. We said thank you!, we have more packages to deliver! And, off we went!

Our second stop was a bit more secluded and our map app had us drive into a yard that wasn’t the correct address. We were understanding what the delivery driver must have gone through. The person in this house knew the person the next package was addressed to and offered to take it to them. This home-owner worked for the local post office and was familiar with packages being left helter-skelter all over the place. Customers had been coming in to the post office complaining about their packages, which had been entrusted to other carriers, being found in the ditch or along the road. No reasoning could calm them down. Even when they were reminded that the post office had no power over those other carriers. All delivery methods were now one!

The final stop was our neighbor’s house across the meadow from our property. They were not at home so we left their package on their porch, safe and sound. On the road, which was only wide enough for one car, back to the highway, we saw another car approaching which kindly pulled over so we could pass. My husband and I looked at each other with the same wonderment, ‘Do you think those are our neighbors across the meadow coming home?’ We pulled up even with them, stopped and rolled down the window. ‘Are you the (our neighbor across the meadow’s name)? They said yes! And we told them our story. While we were talking, our other neighbor drove up behind them, so we repeated our story for them. Before we left that spot, another delivery company’s truck drove up behind them. We were coming full circle.

With our Santa duties complete, off we went in search of lunch knowing that we had met some new neighbors, and saved some people some grief.

We also want to send lots of love out to all those road warriors delivering packages, charting their way in unfamiliar territories so we can get our stuff. The system is not perfect. Then, neither are we. Companies, individuals are dealing with things they have never dealt with before. Thank you Universe, for providing us with opportunities to stretch ourselves in the areas of compassion, patience, peace, understanding, love, and kindness.

With Love (n whatever way you celebrate this time of year),

Michal Donna

Virgo – Part 3

We are going to finish up Virgo with its ruler and then then what Virgo has domain over.

Virgo is ruled by Mercury. That’s right quicksilver, the winged god, the FTD florist guy. He’s so fast, he rules two signs, Virgo and Gemini. So you will see this fella again. Mercury can also harken back to Virgo’s mutable nature. Mercury was a charmer, intelligent, and could run circles around the rest of the gods. He was also known for his ability with slight of hand (trickery). Now you see me, now you don’t!

He’s a pretty heady energy and governs emotional capacity. He rules reason, dexterity, rationalization, letters and mailings. All of which makes it tricky when Mercury goes retrograde, as it will Monday through October 18.

So with Mercury gifting all those attributes to Virgo…Virgo then rules the 6th house of the zodiac with them. This house deals with everyday routines, health, illness, service, relationships with people and things in our everyday workspace and pets. Although this house can have different sign on its cusp, Virgo still rules it along with whatever is there for you. You would need to have a chart done to know what that is. Hint, hint!

We are in the end days of the western Virgo season. Probably the reason I was moved to share the details with you! I hope you have enjoyed learning about yourself, if you are a Virgo, or about a loved one or friend, if you have them in your circle.

Stay tuned for Libra!

Have a Safe and Adventurous Journey,

Michal Donna
